Tucked at the far end of Salcedo Street in  the quaint side of Legaspi Village is a new food joint loved by its neighbors and transients alike.  Our Balikbayan cousins see this daily as we drive them home to their condo along Benavidez and so it has definitley caught our attention. Here's lunch on their last day in town: Piquant appetizers + herbed cheese and sourdough bread... and my very filling Tomato soup... Mussels in white wine sauce... heavenly! Chorizo Pasta... White sauce Sourdough pizza... best seller! Napoli sourdough pizza... yum as well! Collage c/o Picstitch app... Watermelon Ginger shake is a must-try!

Dulcelin! Finally a cafe in the heart of QC to showcase more than just their popular desserts! Me and my girlfriends wanted to try something new anyways so here goes: SALAD: Interesting. Have to commend our server for recommending this rather than the usual house salad. Alrhough we were shocked that the serving is just 4pcs. That means there's just one for each. Haha.  Lovingly presented individually on Shiso(?) leaves, it was topped with some creamy rice, seared meat (shrimp, beef or tuna) and a mushroom-looking quail egg. It was a surprisingly good dish, actually. You grab one piece and shove it all in your mouth... the leaves give a crunchy, minty feel... rice and meat soft, and the flavors well put-together. Will definitely go back for this. PASTA:  Meatball fettucine. Unremarkable. I'd put chilli flakes to kick some edge to this. RIBS: Looks really dark here but it's due to the sauce and photo filter. Shopping for the company and doing market check - fulfilling yet very much tiring day at the Bonifacio Global City! We deserve a very, nice reward.... how about a light snack?! Starting with a warm, GORGONZOLA CHEESE DIP with home-made chunky fries, fresh, julienned vegetables, olives and bell peppers. Next came the to-share basket of SOUTHERN STYLE CORNFLAKE CHICKEN served with arugula and rich gravy goodness! It's meant for two but it can very much fill four of us considering it's just 3pm! And then, comes the OMG - TRUFFLED MUSHROOM AND GRUYERE with home-made fries, eggs, bacon + caviar on top! Oh totally a devilish delight! Heavy on the belly yet light on your taste buds! A pleasurable dinner by my self is not lonesome with delicious food in a nice place. Go for the set-up outside should you wish to observe rather than be be observed. Luigi, my server is just a dear with his attentiveness. Here's what landed on my table: Wild Mushroom pasta in White sauce - just the right amount of cream to envelope every pasta strand, speckled with mushroom here and there and bits of chunky bacon that bursts fat & salt in your mouth! Sinful and delicious :) Macarons - Lychee Rose - hint of rose just right so you won't think it's perfume but I did not get the lychee in it. It's just sweet. Caramel Cream - the best! I'm back with hungry beach buds in tow! We drove past the favorite Meat Plus and saw a big crowd and headed on to the next in our list. Quality food? Yup, going there. We were #5 if we wanted it indoors with a/c. The outside seems nice too with the bring brolly so we opted to take lunch in the shaded area. Chill. Service was a bit lacking in speed but foor is still very good. I luv it! And we keep coming back for more! Quaint, american, homey feel... Like you're transported to Tagaytay where it's a few degrees lower and the faint smell of wood and cedar welcomes you "home". Bests: - shepherd's pie - chicken spinach lasagna - bacon breakfast meal - wild mushroom soup - pumpkin soup - cordon bleu - pork chops - ribs - cupcakes!!! Verdict: 4* food taste & quality 3* value 3* service (too many guests & they're always under staffed during lunch)

Afternoon choco + hot pandesal in different native cheeses. Consume immediately. What a nice place for a decent meeting. It is quite warm during this time though, but the staff is very attentive so + points. I tried other dishes here some dinners ago and I don't remember hearing any complaints in my brain. Have to look for the shots. Verdict: 4* food and service 4* value for money 2* for cleanliness due to small roaches by the glass windows!

Early day Saturday! After a very early morning run, it's totally time for some real breakfast! Somewhere where our celebrant hasn't been... Banapple :) Corn Chowder - super thick, salty, & cold. Herbed Chicken Roll - ala cordon bleu - salty, like the soup. Tapa Rice Plate - big serving of rice, tapa and herbed & creamy scrambled eggs. The meat is too sweet though. Ask for suka (white vinegar) on the side. Chicken Bacon Dish - a but on the salty side but our celebrant enjoyed it a lot :) Classic Cold Coffee - dark coffee with ice, literally. Ask for creamer/milk if you wish. Banoffee Pie - yummy and rich :) too much cream for elders :) Verdict: Quaint place to hang-out and have a good meal. p200/pax. Meal taste should be made more consistent. I remembered sayin yum for every dish I tried before.
