Game night? Game night!

My friend from U! Happy Event, Te Candano, invited us to a mixer in a local donut cafe for a friendly competition of trivia, trivia, trivia.

Entrance fee of Php200 comes with a drink and a snack. There goes my diet, I thought. I got the wintermelon (lesser evil maybe) and choco w/almonds donut.

Donuts are clover-shaped and surprisingly soft and chewy. I was actually expecting it to be hard to chew on so my discovery was a delight in each bite.



Drop by weeknights, maybe they can also do... Singles Game Night?

Typhoon week, I must dub this to be. What with typhoon Falcon + the emotional stress at work, the week had been a tiring wave of walks & rides wading through puddles & floods. Warm Food To Go!

"Wala ka sa BAUNAN ko...!" - this is a common statement amongst us lunch groupie. Comparison on the effectiveness of the food containers or lunchbox (as we fondly callthem in Nursery). Have you ever bring lunch or warm food to the office, only to find it cold when it's time to dig in? Well this happens to us A LOT. Thus the search for the best BAUNAN . Food prepared in the morning, whether it be left-overs or newly-cooked, were put to the test w/ the following containers found at home: GLASS w/ plastic lids: heavy, but more health friendly, as opposed to using wholly plastic (supposedly). See the likes of Lock&Lock, Glass&Lock. ROUND, insulated containers: old-school, reminiscent of picnics w/grandma at Luneta, but soup still turned cold. :( THERMAL liquid containers: also reffered to as "thermos", derived from the brand itself that earned its reputation by keeping hot water... hot! Cravings after work brought from Makati to middle-ground, Pasig. Looking for food thrills to celebrate a mid-week holiday, off we went to pursue the famed dishes of Cafe Juanita. West Kapitolyo is known for the quaint hole-in-the-walls and utterly good food. Tonight, it's Pinoy (Filipino).
