Fiesta at BUDDY's!

Fiesta! That's the first word that hit me when we saw buddy's. We passed the place a few times already and wondered what the super mega lighted place is. It was featured in Jessica Soho's tv program that was why it confirmed our guesses that it IS a restaurant worth visiting.

This is the perfect place to bring your balikbayan aunts & cousins. Once you catch sight of the establishment, you'll be transported to Lucban, Quezon in all its Pahiyas glory.

It was always in my checklist to visit their fiesta but this as close that I can get for now. And it's also in Quezon... city, hehe, not the province. At least it's near my place & I get to taste the food. And they come cheap! At p150/head, your wallet will be very happy too!

Decors are aplenty - the rice paper lantern goes all the way UP & all the way DOWN!

Notice the last picture? You'll get to sneak a peek of the counter - the place looks like a fastfood with everyone coming & going - fast!

You get to choose from a wide variety of native dishes & the attendants will gladly help you. Since we were kinda pressured to order fast because the line is long, we asked them what their specialty is aside from the popular Pancit Lucban. The attendant gamely mentioned the Lechon KawaliBBQ's. Since we were with senior citizens & we want to go easy, we skipped the "unhealthy" sounding ones & closed the deal with additional Sago at Gulaman & desserts - just because I saw the glasses on the counter. They were big I just had to have one myself!  Nice, friendly & very efficient staff makes for a service that makes you wanna leave a big tip. So off we went to be seated upstairs!

This is what greeted us upstairs - totally Filipino - Quezon style, I guess?

Parade of food comes next:

Chicken BBQ & Pork BBQ all plates with Java/ White Rice! We shouldn't miss the Pancit Lucban, of course! Sago't Gulaman, bottled Kalamansi Juice & ice cold Coke in can to match all these.
Let's not forget the Sizzling Boneless Bangus that took our guilt from having inihaw away. All in all the ambiance was festive & food like old-fashion home cooked Filipino meals. The best for me, however, came in the form of desserts:

Leche Flan. Now hold on. Leche flan, I know the taste & I liked my grandma's better but this is nice already for commercial standards.

Cassava Cake. I'm not a cassava lover but this, man, made me a convert! Big, warm & chewy... makes you feel good just by tasting it! I almost gulped down half of it! We were 5 eating so half is a lot!

I would like to come back here not just for the food but for the whole package -- it's the experience that makes you promise yourself that you'll be back.

Plus you can buy good ol' blow in your face Putoseko here too!

Indeed, sa buddy's : DITO PARANG LAGING FIESTA!

How to get there: Coming from T.Morato going to ABS, you go left from the rotonda to Timog, pass Sct. Torillo and then you won't miss it (evening).
